“Craftsman Week celebrates Pasadena’s role as a national center of the Arts & Crafts movement,” said Bridget Lawlor, preservation director and incoming executive director of Pasadena Heritage. “These homes, neighborhoods, and gardens are not only beautiful—they embody values of craftsmanship, community, and harmony with nature that remain deeply relevant today.”

The Park Place Arroyo Terrace Historic District includes 11 contributing houses built from 1902 to 1912, with seven designed by MIT-educated brothers Charles Sumner Greene (1868–1957) and Henry Mather Greene (1870–1954)

Evening programming features Bryan Mead of Hammered & Hewn presenting “Metal Manifestations: Artistic Expressions in Arts & Crafts Metalwork (1900–20)” at 6:30 p.m., with wine reception at 5 p.m.

“We are thrilled to bring back this event bigger, better, and citywide with great new partnerships,” said Zoot Velasco, interim executive director of Pasadena Heritage.

The event is part of Craftsman Week, running October 12 to 19, presented in partnership with the Gamble House and Pasadena Museum of History.
