The Swing Tones will present their sixth annual Rat Pack Holiday Tribute Show on Thursday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m. at The Write-Off Room in Studio City. The performance, priced at $35 per ticket with limited seating available, features the ensemble’s signature vocal jazz fusion interpreting holiday favorites and classic songs made famous by Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Sammy Davis, Jr.
“It certainly is one thing to tribute the Rat Pack,” said Aaron Jacobs, executive producer and lead vocalist, “yet we take their timeless songs, jokes and camaraderie that endeared them to the world interwoven with our vocal jazz harmonics and we guarantee to send all audiences over the top!”
The show features an accomplished cast including Broadway star Stu James (Rent, Color Purple), celebrated SoCal singer Patrick Barnitt, alongside Aaron Jacobs, Adrian Mustain, Tiah Gina, and Joshua Flancer. A full band accompaniment includes James Morgan on piano as music director, with Susan Quam on bass, Satoshi Kirisawa on drums, Michael Czaja on saxophone/clarinet, Didier Reyes on trumpet, and Ken Eernisse on trombone.
The performance will showcase holiday classics like “White Christmas” and “Santa Baby,” alongside iconic Rat Pack standards including “I Love Paris,” “Fly Me To The Moon,” and “Bojangles.” The Swing Tones, who debuted at Summer Swing Nights in 2018, combine influences from The Andrews Sisters, The Manhattan Transfer, and Postmodern Jukebox, while preserving the legacies of big band and swing music with contemporary twists.
The Write-Off Room, located at 11502 Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, holds special significance as the San Fernando Valley’s first nightclub location. The venue maintains its intimate atmosphere, featuring world-renowned musicians, a state-of-the-art sound system, and programming that spans big band, comedy, rock, pop, jazz, blues, salsa, and disco. The establishment offers craft cocktails, beer, and wine, with valet parking available through A & P Valet.
