Young & Healthy, a Pasadena-based family health organization, will lead a meditation and breathwork session at the Washington Park Community House as part of Village Connections, a free recurring series hosted by Pasadena Village. The event pairs the aging-in-place nonprofit’s community programming with Young & Healthy’s wellness education work, according to the organizations’ announcement.
The session runs from 2:00 p.m to 3:30 p.m. at the Washington Park Community Center. Attendees can arrive at 2:00 p.m. for complimentary coffee and tea and a half-hour of socializing before the presentation begins. The event is free and open to all.
A facilitator from Young & Healthy will lead participants through mindfulness exercises, guided relaxation, and simple breathing techniques, according to the announcement. The practices are intended to help reduce stress and ease tension, according to the announcement. The session is beginner-friendly, adaptable, and can be practiced entirely while seated.
