The man who taught generations how to dream, try, and do good turns 99 in March. On Sunday, he’ll be signing autographs in Pasadena.

William Daniels — Mr. Feeny to anyone who grew up with Boy Meets World, the voice of KITT to Knight Rider fans, and the demanding Dr. Mark Craig to those who remember St. Elsewhere — serves as Guest of Honor at Pasadena Comic Con, returning to the Pasadena Convention Center for its first regular January date since the Eaton Fire forced a schedule change last year.

Daniels, who has won two Primetime Emmy Awards and remains active at 98, will be joined by his wife of 74 years, fellow Emmy winner Bonnie Bartlett, who played his on-screen spouse Ellen Craig on St. Elsewhere. Ed Begley Jr., who earned six consecutive Emmy nominations playing Dr. Victor Ehrlich alongside Daniels, completes the reunion.

“I am very happy and filled with something and that something is gratitude,” Begley said of attending fan conventions at this stage of his career. “To be in the business and still working for 55 years, that’s amazing.”

The convention runs 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Pasadena Convention Center, 300 E. Green Street. General admission is $20 in advance, $25 at the door, with early-bird tickets starting at $30. Children 12 and under enter free.

Beyond the medical drama reunion, Pasadena Comic Con features a Power Rangers gathering that spans the franchise’s 32-year history. Walter Emanuel Jones, the original Black Ranger who reprised his role in Netflix’s 2023 anniversary special Once & Always, headlines a 2 p.m. panel alongside Steve Cardenas, Karan Ashley, and Charlie Kersh.

“It wasn’t a mistake; it was a milestone. It was an honor,” Jones wrote recently about originating the role in 1993. “Countless people around the world found inspiration and representation in TV’s first Black superhero.”

Animation fans can meet Craig Bartlett, creator of Hey Arnold! and Dinosaur Train, while El Tigre creators Jorge Gutierrez and Sandra Equihua appear with voice cast members for a 3 p.m. panel featuring Carlos Alazraqui, Eric Bauza, and Grey DeLisle.

A cosplay contest hosted by Nerd Mafia closes the programming at 4 p.m. Some celebrity proceeds will benefit the Pasadena Fire Foundation, according to organizers.

The LEED Gold-certified Pasadena Convention Center sits in the city’s Civic Center District, 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles. The facility offers underground parking accessible via Marengo or Euclid. Tickets are available at pasadenacomiccon.com.

For Daniels, whose career began in 1943 and includes a Broadway debut in Life with Father that same year, the convention represents another stop in a life measured in decades, not years.
