Promising a day of inspiration and brotherhood, the 15th Annual Young African American Male Conference is set to take place on Friday, Feb. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pasadena City College.
Themed “Connectivity: Leveraging Brotherhood to Achieve Excellence in Education and Beyond,” the conference promises a day filled with interactive workshops, mentor connections, games, prizes, and more.
The conference aims to create a supportive space for young Black men, offering intentionally crafted workshops to equip them with resources and skills that empower self-advocacy. The diverse range of workshops covers topics such as financial literacy and mental health, providing holistic support to students in their higher education journey.
“The purpose of this conference is to utilize intentionally crafted workshops as a space to engage in conversation with our young Black males to equip them with the resources and hone skills to advocate for themselves,” the organizers said on the Pasadena City College website.
“The workshops include topics ranging from financial literacy to mental health to provide a variety of resources to support the students holistically in their journey in higher education.”
High school students can experience immersive workshops, forge powerful mentor connections, dive into exciting games, snag awesome prizes, score free merch, and free mouthwatering In-N-Out treats, the organizers added.
