PUSD Superintendent Elizabeth Blanco released a statement Wednesday night in which she reported that the District has completed a Preliminary Facility Assessment concluding the Eaton Fire has substantially damaged five campuses.

“Our initial assessments indicate that the fire has substantially damaged five campuses. While most campuses are in good condition, we have confirmed damage to five campuses in Altadena,” she announced.

Eliot Arts Magnet Middle School is damaged.

Franklin Elementary, which closed in 2020, has sustained damage to about 80%.

Three campuses that house charter schools have sustained substantial damages (Edison, Loma Alta, Noyes)

Blanco said that this information is preliminary.

“The fire is not yet contained, and conditions are still evolving. We will continue to monitor and assess the situation as it develops,” she said.
