Real Food Daily to Open Newest Pasadena Location

Ann Gentry, the host of Naturally Delicious, a well-regarded cooking show on Veria TV (seen on Dish Network and Verizon’s FiOS network) will bring to Pasadena a taste of her most notable vegan cuisine. Gentry will be opening her third location of Real Food Daily, Los Angeles’ much loved premier organic vegan restaurant, in the South Lake Avenue district of Pasadena (899 E. Del Mar Blvd), Monday, May 21, 2012. The 3,600 square foot restaurant will seat 90 guests and boasts an outdoor patio which seats 25.

Gentry is the well-known author of vegan cookbooks such as, “The Real Food Daily Cookbook,” (Ten Speed Press, 2005) and “Vegan Family Meals: Real Food for Everyone” (Andrews McMeel Publishing, 2011). Many of the recipes featured in her books can be enjoyed at her restaurants.

Specialty menu items will include:

• “Not-Chos” (tortilla chips, melted cashew cheese, black beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, tofu sour cream- $13.75)
• “The Club Triple Decker” (seitan, tempeh bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, vegenaise, sourdough bread- $13.75)
• “Tac-O’ the Town” (corn tortillas, seasoned seitan, onions, peppers, guacamole, pico de gallo, tofu sour cream, Spanish rice, black beans- $14.25)
• Delectable vegan desserts that also include gluten-free options such as Chocolate Cake, Cookies and Cupcakes
