Largest Dinosaur Show in North America Returns to Pasadena

Interactive prehistoric experience featuring life-sized animatronics arrives in Pasadena in early January, offering families an immersive journey through 165 million years of natural history
Published on Dec 19, 2024

The continent’s most extensive dinosaur exhibition, Jurassic Quest, will bring its scientifically accurate prehistoric adventure to the Pasadena Convention Center from January 3-5, 2025, continuing its decade-long tradition of thrilling millions across North America.

The exhibition, part of the Family Quest Entertainment portfolio, has entertained more than 10 million fans across 250 cities in the United States and Canada since 2013.

The exhibition, developed in close collaboration with leading paleontologists, features meticulously crafted dinosaur replicas that incorporate the latest research on appearance, movement, and behavior.

From the towering Tyrannosaurus rex to the sky-scraping Spinosaurus, each creature is painstakingly replicated in every detail, from coloration to teeth size, textured skin, fur or feathers, reflecting current scientific understanding of how dinosaurs looked and moved.

Visitors can walk through 165 million years of the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods, experiencing North America’s most scientifically accurate dinosaur tour.

The exhibition features both authentic fossils and casts, including T-Rex teeth and triceratops horns, offering tangible connections to prehistoric times. Life-like animatronic dinosaurs, some of which move and roar, are grouped in realistic scenes with others from their eras, allowing guests to experience them as they existed millions of years ago.

For younger paleontologists, the event includes North America’s largest collection of rideable dinosaurs (140-pound weight limit), a dedicated “Triceratots” soft play area, and opportunities to meet interactive baby dinosaurs like Cammie the Camarasaurus, Tyson the T-Rex, and Trixie the Triceratops.

New for 2025 is an interactive Raptor Training Experience, scheduled throughout each day.

The event features comprehensive activities including interactive science and art activities, a giant fossil dig, bounce houses and inflatable attractions, face painting, and photo opportunities. “The Quest,” a self-guided scavenger hunt accompanied by a fun and fact-filled video tour, allows children to earn Junior Park Ranger status while learning about different prehistoric periods.

Advance ticket purchase is recommended online at www.jurassicquest.com, where visitors can use code DINO30 for a 30% discount.

Tickets are also available on-site. General admission includes access to exhibits, arts and crafts activities, and live shows, while the Kids Ultimate Ticket (ages 2-10) adds unlimited access to dinosaur rides, fossil digs, and inflatable attractions. Children under 2 enter free. Strollers are permitted, and guests should contact the venue for accessibility features.

The Pasadena Convention Center, located at 300 E. Green St, will host the event Friday through Sunday, with operating hours from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday. Anaheim dates will be announced separately.
