Pasadena City College is pleased to announce the launch of the PCC Online/Weekend College. Courses are either online, telecourses (DVDs and video streaming), or a hybrid of online and on-campus meetings held on Fridays or Saturdays, and are designed for the busy working individual.
“PCC is excited to introduce Online/Weekend College; it sets students up for success by providing non-traditional, working adult students with more options to complete their general education courses for degree completion and transfers as quickly as possible,†said Ofelia Arellano, PCC dean of Academic Affairs.
Online/Weekend College offers general education and transfer, career and technical, and personal enrichment courses. The catalog is designed so that students can fulfill the majority of their general education degree and transfer requirements.
Classes run for either a full semester (16 weeks) or half the term (eight weeks). Many classes are taught partially online with meetings scheduled for Friday mornings, afternoons or evenings, or Saturday mornings or afternoons.
Online/Weekend classes are available in the Fall 2013 Schedule of Classes and can be searched for using the Schedule Type drop-down menu. Students can take Online/Weekend College classes in addition to the traditional, on-campus classes at PCC; fees are the same for both.
Online/Weekend College is fully accredited and taught by PCC instructors.
