All Saints Church 132 North Euclid Avenue will host a memorial service on Monday to commemorate thousands of unhoused individuals who died on American streets from illness, exposure or violence.
The service, scheduled for Monday, February 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the church, will “honor and acknowledge their lives and membership in the human family,” according to the announcement.
Many of those being remembered are from Pasadena, where organizers are inviting community members to submit names of individuals who lost their lives while experiencing homelessness.
Melissa Hayes can be reached at (626) 583-2725 or mhayes@allsaints-pas.org to provide names of those who died on the streets for acknowledgement during the service.
The church is accepting financial donations to support the dinner that follows the service, with contributions being collected through their online donation system.
The annual memorial addresses a sobering reality in Pasadena and across the nation, where unhoused individuals frequently face deadly circumstances without receiving appropriate recognition or dignity.
