
Pasadena resident Allen Shay officially announced his candidacy for Mayor of Pasadena and detailed planks of his platform on Wednesday, February 7.
Shay, a lifelong and active resident of the Pasadena community, said he brings a fresh perspective and bold vision to the mayoral race.
Shay’s platform focuses on specific initiatives to Pasadena, including ending homelessness, working hand in hand with police and firefighters, creating affordable housing, and developing sustainable business growth.
“Pasadena is a vibrant and diverse city with boundless potential, and I am committed to harnessing that potential to create a better future for all,” Shay said in a press statement.
With 12 years as a commissioner on the Northwest Commission, and over four decades as a business owner, Shay said that he has demonstrated a track record of leadership and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the Pasadena community.
Shay holds a degree in political science and is a licensed real estate broker.
“As Mayor, I will prioritize listening to the voices of all Pasadena residents and working together to find innovative solutions to our shared challenges. Together we can build a stronger, more resilient Pasadena,” Shay added.
