Argument Between Friends Leads to Thursday Night Stabbing

Two transients who were friends became embroiled in an argument which escalated into a fight and stabbing Thursday night near Lake Ave. and Maple St. shortly after 6:00 p.m., police say.

The victim, a 55-year-old man, was stabbed in one arm and received multiple lacerations over his body. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive, Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said.

Authorities consider the attack to be an attempted homicide.

Clawson said the suspect is not in custody but is known to police.
