District 3 Councilmember Justin Jones, Pasadena Water and Power, and Los Angeles County Public Works collaborated to secure bottled water for Pasadena and Altadena residents in the Eaton fire-impacted areas.

The distribution center at 450 N. Lake Ave., operated Friday and will continue on Saturday, January 11 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The alert, issued on January 8, advises residents in affected areas to use bottled water for drinking, cooking, and other household needs until further notice. The State Water Resources Control Board, Pasadena Public Health Department, and Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) warn against using tap water or attempting to treat it at home.

“I recognize that many residents in District 3 and Pasadena and Altadena have been adversely affected by the water quality issues, and I see this as a chance to provide much-needed relief. Let’s collaborate to address these concerns effectively,” said Councilmember Jones, who is a civil engineer with the County Public Works Dept. and was therefore able facilitate the plan quickly.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with the Los Angeles County Public Works department in my capacity as a City Councilmember. I am committed to bringing the necessary resources to our community,” Jones said.
