Police arrested and booked a juvenile boy after he allegedly committed a strong arm robbery Wednesday in the 600 block of North Mar Vista Avenue in Pasadena.
Pasadena Police Lt. John Luna said the incident occurred about 12:19 p.m. Luna said the victim was a 36-year-old Pasadena woman.
“The victim was standing on the sidewalk in front of her apartment complex holding her cellphone when the suspect walked past her,” Luna said. “The suspect forcibly removed the cellphone from her hand and ran into a nearby city park.”
Responding police officers said they saw about four other people near the McDonald Park and interviewed of all them about the robbery.
A search yielded the woman’s cellphone in the possession of one of the suspects, Luna said.
Luna said the suspect was booked in juvenile hall. Officers then returned the woman’s cellphone to the victim.
