A 23-year-old Northridge man was arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly attempting to break into one residence and successfully entering another in Pasadena, according to Lieutenant Matt Campeau of the Pasadena Police Department.
Officers responded at 12:11 a.m. to a report of a male suspect attempting to kick in the door of a residence in the 600 block of South Los Robles Avenue. They located a man matching the suspect’s description running north on Los Robles Avenue from California Boulevard.
The suspect, identified as Colby Fecteau, was detained without incident north of the intersection, Campeau said.
Fecteau’s hands were bloody, with cuts consistent with breaking glass, and he appeared to be under the influence of a stimulant, according to Campeau.
While investigating the initial incident, officers were flagged down by two additional victims from an apartment in the 400 block of East California Boulevard. These victims reported that a man thought to be Fecteau had shattered their kitchen window and entered their residence. They fled through their front door to escape.
No injuries were reported among the victims, and there was no property loss Campeau said.
The initial incident on South Los Robles Avenue was determined to be an attempted break-in according to Campeau.
Fecteau was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary and transported by Pasadena Fire Department paramedics to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, said Campeau.
The victims included four Pasadena resident: a 56-year-old woman, a 17-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman, and a 25-year-old man.
Police are continuing their investigation into the case.
