Caltrans continued work on I-210 Foothill Freeway in Pasadena, with closures this week of some on- and off-ramps and some adjoining streets, including Friday.
The work is intended to upgrade curb ramps, install Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) systems and pedestrian countdown timers, and re-stripe crosswalks to conform to current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
A Caltrans advisory said closures will continue from 8 a.m. to 4 on Friday, Sept. 15.
On the I-210, full or partial ramp closures and adjacent street lane closures should be expected at the westbound Allen Ave. off-ramp, the eastbound and westbound Altadena Drive on- and off-ramps, the eastbound San Gabriel Blvd. on-ramp, and the westbound Sierra Madre Blvd./San Gabriel Blvd. off-ramp.
No two consecutive ramps will be closed at the same time, Caltrans said in an advisory. Drivers are advised to allow for extra travel time
