The City of Pasadena has reinforced its strict ordinance banning all fireworks within city limits, emphasizing the dangers they pose to the community. Authorities are committed to enforcing the ban on both the sale and use of fireworks, with violations possibly resulting in hefty fines and other penalties.
In a statement, the City encouraged residents to report any illegal fireworks activity to the Pasadena Police Department by calling (626) 744-4241 or by submitting a report using the Pasadena CSC mobile app.
This initiative is part of Pasadena’s broader effort to maintain safety and reduce the risks associated with fireworks, such as fires and injuries.
Under the City’s ordinance, individuals found in violation of the fireworks ban can face severe consequences, including arrest, vehicle impoundment, up to one year in County jail, and fines as high as $50,000. Property owners and tenants can also be held responsible if fireworks are found on their premises. The City also demands payment for the safe disposal of confiscated fireworks.
The City of Pasadena tweeted, “Fireworks are dangerous and illegal in Pasadena. Help keep our community safe by reporting fireworks in your neighborhood to Pasadena police at (626) 744-4241.”
Pasadena’s zero-tolerance policy aims to prevent the dangers associated with fireworks and ensure public safety. The strict enforcement is part of the City’s commitment to maintaining a secure environment for its residents.
