The free volunteer opportunity offers hands-on gardening experience, a Descanso Gardens statement said. Participants will help care for the botanical garden.
Instruction will be provided during the event. All experience levels are welcome.
Volunteers must be 16 or older, according to the statement. They must be able to lift, bend and stand for long periods. Moderate to heavy lifting is involved.
Participants are advised to bring gardening gloves and water. Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are required.
Since space is limited, volunteers are advised to RSVP by emailing volunteer@descansogardens.org by Saturday, July 19.
Additional instructions will be sent after registration. Participants must sign a waiver form to take part.
