Cocaine, Marijuana, Cash, Guns: Pasadena Police Score Haul After Friday Traffic Stop

Two men were arrested early Friday morning on felony weapons and narcotics charges following a traffic stop that reportedly led to the discovery of two firearms and illegal drugs, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau.

Kasey Stinson, 39, of Pasadena, and Edward Robinson, 24, of Azusa, were taken into custody at 2:27 a.m. Friday at Washington Boulevard and Lake Avenue after officers who were conducting a routine traffic stop allegedly discovered weapons and controlled substances in their vehicle,  Campeau reported.

Police recovered two firearms during the arrest: a tan Glock 19 9mm pistol and a silver .357 Colt Python revolver, according to Campeau.

The investigation also allegedly yielded cocaine, large quantities of marijuana, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, according to the lieutenant.

The incident began when Pasadena police officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Washington Boulevard, west of Hudson Avenue, for a vehicle code violation, Campeau explained.

Standing outside the vehicle, officers reportedly saw a pistol grip protruding from the front passenger seat rear pocket, prompting them to detain both individuals.

During their subsequent investigation, officers allegedly located the second firearm and discovered the drugs and money, Campeau reported.

Both suspects were arrested without incident and no injuries were reported, according to Campeau.
