LA County has issued a “safer at home” order that will take effect at midnight tonight.
The announcement was made at a press conference attended by Mayor Terry Tornek, LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia and Los Angeles Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer on Thursday.
On Thursday, Gov. Gavin Newsom estimated that 25 million people in the state could be infected with the virus in the coming eight weeks.
