Disability Advocate Tiffany Yu to Headline Pasadena Accessibility Commission Discussion

Disability advocate and author Tiffany Yu will headline a virtual author talk and book discussion on Oct. 14, hosted by the City of Pasadena Accessibility and Disability Commission and open to all.

Set for 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 14, the session will feature Yu discussing the paperback edition of her book, “The Anti-Ableist Manifesto: Smashing Stereotypes, Forging Change, and Building a Disability-Inclusive World,” in what the commission calls an empowering conversation with the author, activist and advocate. Attendees who stay to the end of the webinar will hear how to get a free copy while supplies last.

The commission describes Yu as the chief executive and founder of Diversability, a three-time TEDx speaker and an author who began her career at Goldman Sachs and was named to the 2025 Forbes Accessibility 100 List. It says she became disabled at age 9 as a result of a car accident that also took her father’s life.

American Sign Language interpretation will be provided.
