Pasadena police arrested a driver and passenger Sunday night after a brief pursuit concluded with the suspects’ vehicle colliding into a parked car.
The incident unfolded at 9:32 p.m. on April 20 near Park Street and North Marengo Avenue, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Monica Cuellar.
Officers initiated a traffic stop targeting what Cuellar described as a “suspicious vehicle.” When the driver failed to yield, a two-minute pursuit ensued, ending when the suspect’s vehicle struck an unoccupied parked car.
Ruben Miramontes, 31, of Pasadena, was identified as the driver and arrested on suspicion of felony evading and driving under the influence. Gustavo Rodriguez, 56, of Los Angeles, the passenger, was taken into custody for public intoxication, Cuellar said.
