The Pasadena Library has launched free family navigator consultations for parents and caregivers of young children at the Jefferson Branch Library through a partnership with the Pasadena Public Health Department.
The service, available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon, specifically targets families with children ages 0-5, with a focus on those with special healthcare needs.
Beatriz Dzul Perera serves as the family navigator, offering drop-in appointments in both English and Spanish to answer questions about healthcare, developmental screenings, school enrollment, childcare and other family needs.
After their consultation, families are encouraged to stay and use the Jefferson Branch Library and its many resources, services, and activities for learning and play.
The consultations are provided as part of Cal-InSPIRE, a state-funded public health program designed to provide innovative supports for families who have children with special healthcare needs.
No registration is required for the service at the Jefferson Branch Library, located at 1500 E. Villa Street. Walk-ins are welcome.
