Fatal Crash on 110 Freeway in South Pasadena

[UPDATED] A woman was killed today when her car crashed off the side of southbound state Route 110 in South Pasadena, hit a tree and caught fire.

The crash occurred shortly after 4 a.m. at the Fair Oaks Avenue offramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to the CHP, the woman was driving a 2000 Infiniti I30 at an unknown speed when the car “left the roadway over an elevated concrete curb and collided into a tree.”

The 33-year-old Panorama City woman died at the scene, the CHP reported. Her name is being withheld, pending notification of her relatives.
