Firefighters quickly contained a small brush fire along the Arroyo Seco Trail on Tuesday night, officials said on a Facebook post.
The Pasadena Fire Department responded to calls reporting a vegetation fire near North San Rafael Avenue and West Colorado Boulevard at 8:22 p.m.
The blaze was quickly located in the area of the Arroyo Seco Trail between the Colorado Street Bridge and the Casting Ponds
Fire crews managed to limit the fire’s spread to approximately 1/4 acre.
Officials attributed the successful containment to favorable weather conditions, including decreased temperatures, increased humidity, and lack of wind, as well as an aggressive response by fire personnel.
Multiple units were dispatched to the scene, including engines, command staff, and a rescue ambulance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
