Hundreds of students and community members marched through Pasadena on Thursday, protesting against Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations and targeting a hotel where agents were rumored to be staying, according media and social media reports.

The demonstration began with a student walkout and evolved into a citywide march, according to social media posts from the Party for Socialism and Liberation which were accompanied by a video.

Numerous social media videos and photos showed protesters rallying at Pasadena City Hall before moving through the streets.

Protesters chanted “ICE out of Dena” and “don’t make us come back” as they marched from City Hall to demonstrate at the Westin Pasadena hotel, at 191 N. Los Robles Ave.

The protests were part of coordinated demonstrations that also occurred in Whittier and Downey on the same day, according to the Orange County Register. There been no official confirmation that ICE agents were actually staying at any of the targeted hotels, the Orange County Register reported.

Participants demanded an end to deportations and what the Party for Socialism and Liberation called “ICE terror.” The march included dancing and chanting as protesters moved through city streets, according to the organization’s social media posts.
