The company said Iris builds on its Integrated Readiness Optimization, or IRO, software, which it describes as already deployed across Department of Defense environments.
“This is a transformative step for our customers,” Michael Amori, the company’s chief executive, said in the announcement. “Defense and government leaders always tell me that it takes their teams too long to respond to feedback on analytics. By the time it’s gone down and back up the chain, it’s irrelevant.”
The new platform adds a natural-language chat interface powered by large language models, along with agents calibrated to military structures, stakeholder expectations and operational constraints. Virtualitics said the aim is to deliver the right information to the right audience in the right format, shortening the time it takes to move from data to decision.
Aakash Indurkhya, Virtualitics’ vice president of product, said Iris is intended for teams managing force readiness amid organizational contention and ambiguity.
“Readiness is a data-rich domain but with a complex decision space,” he said. “With Virtualitics Iris, we’re elevating our IRO capabilities and reimagining how defense leaders and mission operators move an insight forward to handle contention, pushback and ambiguity across organizational boundaries.”
The company said that Iris is designed to fit within existing chains of command, keeping humans “in the loop” and adhering to governance protocols so that recommendations are trusted and acted upon.
The company’s statement pointed to three main benefits of the new software: mission-tuned agents that understand readiness data and constraints; accelerated insight consumption without the need to navigate complex analytics; and a “frictionless decision chain” that presents insights in the right format for the right audience, increasing alignment and decision velocity.
While its immediate application is defense readiness, Virtualitics said the same approach could apply in other complex, high-stakes environments. The company said Iris is available now to accelerate the path from ‘data to decision.’
