South African freedom-fighter-turned-healer Michael Lapsley lived through years of social and political activism in apartheid South Africa, and a near fatal attempt on his life, a letter bomb, left him severely injured and traumatized. Fr. Michael Lapsley returns to All Saints Church, Pasadena, to offer his Healing of Memories Workshop. The public is invited to participate in an experiential process of deep listening, reflecting, creativity, and sharing, led by Lapsley and trained facilitators from the Institute for the Healing of Memories.
In sharing their unique stories, participants will be enabled to move from painful memories towards emotional healing and grace. Because of the cumulative and community-building nature of the workshops, participants must commit to attend all three of the following sessions on May 29, 30, and 31:
Session 1: Friday, May 29th – 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Session 2: Saturday, May 30th – 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Session 3: Sunday, May 31st – 1:30-5:30 p.m.
Cost is $40 for meals and art materials. Space is limited; for more information or to register call Ana Camacho at (626) 583-2737. All Saints Church is at 132 North Euclid Avenue, Pasadena, directly across Euclid from City Hall.
