Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that it received an award from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Kansas City District for enhanced commissioning services in the Northwestern Division area of responsibility as prescribed by the United States Green Building Council.
The five-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with firm fixed price task orders has a capacity of $9.5 million.
Under this contract, Jacobs’ scope of services includes enhanced commissioning services for various projects that are within the mission areas of the Northwestern Division. The building size of projects within the district may vary from 10,000 to 500,000 square feet and may include single or multiple building projects. The USACE expects to seek, at least, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver rating for new construction and major renovation projects. Through its enhanced commissioning services, Jacobs intends to support the USACE’s guiding principle of environmental sustainability, while improving security and maintainability through building systems that perform as intended.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Tom McDuffie stated, “We look forward to continuing our long history with the Corps and are delighted to support its goal of achieving continued environmental sustainability.”
Jacobs is one of the world’s largest and most diverse providers of technical, professional, and construction services.
