Local AI-Powered Health Company Names New Chief Medical Officer

Nudj Health has appointed Dr. Padmaja Patel as Chief Medical Officer of Lifestyle Medicine Services.

The Pasadena-based AI-powered lifestyle medicine company announced the appointment Monday. Patel will oversee delivery of lifestyle interventions designed to treat and prevent chronic disease.

Nudj Health has served more than 15,000 patients since its founding in 2021. The company partners with health systems including Corewell Health.

Patel currently serves as President of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. She also leads the Midland Quality Alliance and sits on boards of several national healthcare organizations.

For four years, Patel has advised Nudj Health on integrating AI-powered lifestyle medicine across primary care and cardiology. Her new role expands those responsibilities.

A company statement said Nudj Health focuses on six lifestyle areas: stress management, nutrition, physical activity, sleep quality, social support and behavioral risks.

“The traditional healthcare delivery model has failed to adequately address the chronic disease crisis in the U.S.,” Patel said. She cited growing recognition among healthcare leaders for patient-centered approaches rooted in lifestyle medicine.

Patel said Nudj Health has demonstrated clinical efficacy and is ready to scale comprehensive lifestyle medicine solutions.

“My lifelong passion has been to showcase the value and cost-effectiveness of lifestyle medicine solutions,” she said.

Nudj Health CEO Yuri Sudhakar said the company has spent four years building lifestyle medicine service lines with physician groups nationwide. The next focus will be organizations that own their healthcare costs.

“Dr. Patel brings invaluable expertise in both the delivery of lifestyle medicine and the strategic alignment of that care with cost reduction,” Sudhakar said.

Dr. Katie Hill will continue as Chief Medical Officer for Behavioral Health Services. She will work with Patel as the company expands its services.

Nudj Health operates an ACLM-certified Lifestyle Medicine Treatment program. Its education division, Nudj University, is approved by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching.

The company has integrated services with primary care, cardiology and oncology providers nationwide.
