Over the course of two weeks, employees from across the firm came together to fill the bins before representatives from the Pasadena Jaycees visited Lagerlof’s Pasadena office to pick up the donations.
Chief Operating Officer Dr. Corey Castillo and a small team of employees gathered to bag and load the toys, assist with the pick-up, and thank the Jaycees for their continued work in the community.
The Jaycees reported that this year has seen the largest number of gift requests yet, with nearly 2,000 children writing letters to “Santa” asking for holiday gifts. The donated toys will be distributed on Christmas Eve as part of the Jaycees’ citywide volunteer effort.
Founded in 1934, the Pasadena Jaycees are a volunteer-led organization of young professionals dedicated to community service, leadership development, and positive impact. Their Operation Santa program — now in its 90th year — ensures that thousands of local children in 8th grade and under receive hand-delivered gifts each holiday season, thanks to donated toys and the efforts of hundreds of volunteers dressed as Santa, Mrs. Claus, and elves.
“Our team showed incredible generosity throughout this Toy Drive,” said Dr. Corey Castillo, Chief Operating Officer at Lagerlof, LLP. “It’s a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together with a shared purpose. Supporting the Pasadena Jaycees and helping bring joy to children across our community is something we are truly proud to be part of.”
