A 32-year-old Pasadena man was hospitalized with serious injuries after a stabbing incident at McDonald Park on Monday night, according to police.

Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau reported that officers initially responded to a disturbance call in the 1100 block of East Mountain Street at approximately 9:12 p.m.

But upon arrival, officers were unable to locate any victims or witnesses in the area.

Shortly thereafter, police dispatch received a report of a man who had been physically assaulted in the vicinity of the original disturbance, Campeau said.

This time officers found the victim, who had sustained multiple puncture wounds to his abdomen and lacerations to his right wrist and left thigh.

The victim refused to provide any information about the assault, Campeau said.

The injured man was transported to a local hospital for treatment and at last report was undergoing surgery, according to Campeau.

Campeau described the suspect as a man wrapped in a white blanket, armed with a knife.

The victim was not cooperative, Campeau added, noting that no witnesses were found and no knife was recovered at the scene.
