The free event is open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the program begins promptly at 7 p.m. at 1081 N. Fair Oaks Ave., with free on-site parking available.
Under Section 904 of the Pasadena City Charter, the mayor must give a yearly address presenting a budget message for the coming fiscal year, no later than February. City officials say the 2026 speech “is still in development” and the theme “has not yet been revealed,” but note Gordo “has convened an advisory group.” The address “formally marks the start of Pasadena’s annual budget process” and “begins the run-up to the City Council’s submission of a proposed budget in May.”
Residents who cannot attend in person can watch live at PasadenaMedia.org/Kpas or on KPAS, the city’s government channel, carried on Charter Spectrum Channel 3 and AT&T U-verse Channel 99.
Gordo, Pasadena’s first Latino mayor and third citywide-elected mayor, was first elected in 2020 and re-elected in 2024. The former District 5 councilmember is an attorney and longtime community leader.
