The Department of Transportation will host a community meeting on the Craig Avenue Greenway on April 28.
Building upon the efforts of the 2015 Mobility Element and associated Bicycle Transportation Action Plan, the City of Pasadena commissioned a detailed study to further develop improvements on four north-south bicycle boulevard corridors, or Greenways:
-
El Molino Avenue: Atchison Street to Bonita Drive (approx. 3.8 miles)
-
Wilson Avenue: Washington Boulevard to California Boulevard (approx. 2.3 miles)
-
Sierra Bonita Avenue: Washington Boulevard to Colorado Boulevard (approx. 1.6 miles)
-
Craig Avenue: Orange Grove Boulevard to Del Mar Boulevard (approx. 1.1 miles)
The meeting is scheduled to be held at Craig Avenue and Maple Street. An additional meeting will be held on May 3 at Craig Avenue and Las Lunas Street.
The study evaluated potential benefits and impacts to both bicycle and vehicular traffic and residential parking. Based on this analysis, this study proposed planning level concept plans for each Greenway.
