
A 44-year-old Pasadena man died following a motorcycle collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Washington Boulevard on Monday, at 3:00 p.m., according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau.
The motorcyclist sustained major injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition by Pasadena Fire Department paramedics. Despite lifesaving efforts by medical staff, the victim succumbed to his injuries, Campeau said.
He was not identified publicly pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as a 28-year-old man from Pasadena, remained at the scene and was uninjured in the incident, Campeau said.
The Pasadena Police Department’s major accident investigation team is investigating to determine exactly what happened.
Campeau said that the investigation is ongoing, and no determination of fault has been made at this time.
As of now, no video surveillance of the incident has been located, according to Campeau, who also reported the driver was not cited or arrested, said Campeau.
