Webster’s Community Pharmacy, a beloved institution in Altadena since 1926, will close its post office and utility payment department on March 31, 2024, according to co-owners Meredith and Michael Miller. The decision comes as the pharmacy prepares to move to a new location at the end of April.
The Millers said the closure of these services, which have been staple conveniences for many Altadenans over the years, was a difficult decision.
“We understand that it may inconvenience some of our valued customers,” they said. “However, we believe that this change will ultimately allow us to better focus on our core pharmacy services and enhance the overall customer experience.”
The pharmacy’s new location will be a ‘state-of-the-art facility’ at 2333 Lake Avenue, in the Chase Plaza Building, just one block away from its current location.
The move represents not only a shift in physical address but also a reaffirmation of the store’s enduring commitment to serving the community for nearly a century, the Millers said.
Webster’s Community Pharmacy is a full-service prescription pharmacy that also carries medical supplies. For updates on their move, visit websterspharm.com.
