Tetra Tech, Inc. and joint venture partner Mason & Hanger have been awarded a $99 million, five-year contract by the U.S. Navy to provide engineering and design services for military infrastructure across the southeastern United States, the Pasadena-headquartered firm announced March 12, 2026.
The single-award task order contract from Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast covers waterfront and marine facility refurbishment, shore-based construction, water and energy efficiency analyses, and ecosystem protection, according to a company press release distributed via BusinessWire. For Tetra Tech (NASDAQ: TTEK), which employs more than 25,000 people globally and reports approximately $5 billion in annual revenue, the contract represents roughly 2% of yearly sales based on the company’s reported annual revenue.
The work adds to a recent streak of federal contract wins for the East Foothill Boulevard company. Tetra Tech secured a $100 million Air Force environmental services contract on February 19 and a $49 million Army Corps of Engineers design contract on February 12, according to financial news reports. Combined, the three awards total nearly $250 million.
“Tetra Tech has supported NAVFAC Southeast in their mission to deliver vital infrastructure to support the U.S. Navy for 40 years,” Roger Argus, Tetra Tech’s chief executive officer, said in the press release. Argus took the helm on February 19, succeeding Dan Batrack, who led the company for more than 20 years and transitioned to executive chairman, according to a separate company announcement.
Argus, a 30-year Tetra Tech veteran, said the company would continue to “modernize critical military base infrastructure and increase the resiliency of U.S. national security facilities,” according to the press release.
Mason & Hanger, which the firm’s website states was founded in 1827 and is headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, is a subsidiary of Day & Zimmermann, according to the firm’s website. The company describes itself as the oldest continuously operating architect-engineering firm in the United States.
NAVFAC Southeast, based at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida, manages planning, design, construction, and facility maintenance for the Navy in the southeastern U.S., according to the command’s official website.
Tetra Tech reported first-quarter fiscal year 2026 net revenue of $1.04 billion, up 8% year-over-year excluding USAID and State Department work, according to the company’s January 28 earnings release. The firm’s backlog stood at $3.95 billion.
