Pasadena City College opens its summer session Monday, a single eight-week term running through Aug. 14 that carries the college’s counseling, financial aid and basic-needs services through the summer.

The 2026 term is one consolidated session, not a set of overlapping sub-terms, according to PCC. Registration has been open since May 19, the class schedule was posted April 20, and the application for the summer term opened Dec. 1, 2025. The college serves more than 27,000 students each semester across the Pasadena Area Community College District, whose trustee areas include parts of Altadena.

Classes are offered at two campuses: the main Colorado campus at 1570 E. Colorado Blvd. and the Foothill campus at 3035 E. Foothill Blvd. The schedule mixes in-person, hybrid and online courses, according to the college. Students taking online courses must reside in California.

Enrollment fees are $46 per unit for California residents, according to PCC. Summer charges also include a $22 health fee, a $5 student activity fee and a $2 student representation fee; non-California residents pay an additional $409-per-unit surcharge plus a $26-per-unit capital outlay fee. Tuition and fees are due at registration, and students who do not pay by posted deadlines are dropped from classes.

Several deadlines fall within the term. The summer enrollment freeze date is July 6. The first disbursement of summer financial aid is scheduled for July 9, the summer loan request deadline is July 10, and the satisfactory academic progress appeal deadline is July 24. The deadline for PCC to receive a completed 2025–26 FAFSA or California Dream Act Application is June 30, and the deadline to submit all 2025–26 financial aid documents is Aug. 14. The campus is closed July 3 for the Independence Day holiday.

Student services are running on summer schedules. Academic counseling operates on a drop-in basis from June 22 through July 17, with appointment scheduling resuming July 20, according to PCC. The Mental Health and Wellness center is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with crisis walk-in hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lancer Accessibility Resource Services began its summer priority registration May 19. The Veterans Resource Center closed June 19 for transition and is operating on summer hours.

Students facing a financial crisis can apply for support through the Lancer Care Center, which offers basic-needs assistance and a Lancer Care Basic Needs Emergency Aid Grant, according to PCC; eligibility requires good academic standing and at least half-time enrollment. The center also operates the Lancer Pantry, which provides food at no cost to enrolled students.

Online students should note a change to how they log in. After PCC took its Canvas learning system offline following a May 7 security incident, access has been restored and multi-factor authentication is now required to log in, according to the college.

The summer term opened 10 days after PCC held its commencement ceremony June 12 at Robinson Stadium on the main campus. Students who need help registering or accessing aid can reach PCC’s Help Centers at (626) 585-7123.

Summer classes end Aug. 14. The fall semester begins Aug. 24.
