The City of Pasadena’s Public Works Department has completed its emergency green waste cleanup operation following recent windstorm and fire damage. As of Wednesday, February 5, crews finished clearing street debris, and simultaneously the temporary Hahamongna Park drop-off site closed due to the ahead-of-schedule completion.

“Public Works staff would like to thank residents for their patience after this disaster, as well as thank all volunteers who assisted in the removal of the debris from the streets,” City officials stated.

Residents must no longer place green waste material on the street. City of Pasadena residential refuse customers should use their yard waste containers for any remaining green waste, while commercial properties and apartment complexes must coordinate with landscapers or approved franchise haulers.

For non-green waste storm debris, including broken swing sets, fences, gates, and lawn furniture, residents can contact approved franchise haulers. City of Pasadena Refuse customers may request bulky item pick-ups for storm debris, so long as the items meet the requirements of a bulky item pick-up.

Fire debris must be disposed of properly, with guidance available on the Eaton Fire Updates page. For questions about green waste debris pickup, residents can contact the City Service Center at CSC@CityOfPasadena.net or (626) 744-7311. For TTY service, dial 711.
