A Friday afternoon house fire in the 1400 block of North Hill Avenue displaced two residents but caused no serious injuries, according to Pasadena city spokesperson Lisa Derderian.

Firefighters were dispatched at 1:46 p.m. to a report of a structure fire at a single-story residence, Derderian said.

One person at the scene received a medical assessment but did not require hospitalization.

Crews contained the fire to the primary structure. The cause remains under investigation.

Five engines, two trucks, two rescue ambulances, two battalion chiefs and one arson investigator responded. Pasadena police and the San Marino Fire Department assisted.

Estimated property damage is $100,000. The incident was closed at 4:16 p.m., about two and a half hours after dispatch.
