Warm, sunny conditions will continue in Pasadena through midweek before a cooling trend arrives Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Highs are expected to reach near 90 degrees Friday and Saturday before dropping into the low 80s early next week.
Forecasters said Tuesday’s high will reach 82 degrees under clear skies, with calm winds shifting to light south-southwest breezes in the afternoon. Overnight lows will fall to 55 degrees.
Wednesday will remain sunny with a high near 81 degrees. Winds will stay light, shifting southwest at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Thursday will be mostly sunny with highs around 84 degrees.
The warmest stretch is forecast Friday and Saturday, when highs will climb to 89–90 degrees. Conditions will cool Sunday, with highs near 85 degrees, followed by partly sunny skies Monday and highs around 82 degrees.
No rain is expected through the weekend. However, forecasters said a system could arrive March 31 or April 1, bringing at least a half inch of rainfall.
Winds will remain light across Pasadena, generally 5 to 10 mph from the southwest during afternoons.
The National Weather Service noted March has been unusually warm across Southern California, with record-setting average highs in downtown Los Angeles. Pasadena residents should prepare for hot afternoons late this week before cooler conditions return Sunday.
