Pasadena Humane has received an unprecedented influx of over 250 stray animals in the wake of the Eaton Fire.

The shelter has extended its standard holding period to 21 days, giving displaced residents additional time to locate and reclaim their pets during the ongoing crisis.

“Since the Eaton Fire began, we’ve taken in over 250 stray animals, many of which have not been reclaimed yet,” shelter officials announced through their social media channels.

The organization is actively working to reunite pets with their families, maintaining a comprehensive database of lost animals on their website for concerned owners to search.

The shelter welcomes residents to visit their facility between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to identify and reclaim their missing pets.

After the extended 21-day holding period expires, unclaimed animals will become eligible for adoption through the shelter’s regular placement program.
