Pasadena Humane’s Whimsical “Poorly Drawn Pets” Fundraiser Returns, Through Thursday

Here’s an invitation to local pet lovers to participate in Pasadena Humane’s “Poorly Drawn Pets” fundraiser, a lighthearted campaign running through noon on Sept. 18, 2025. For a suggested donation of $15, supporters can receive a whimsical, amateur-style digital portrait of their pet while helping fund shelter operations.

According to a statement from Pasadena Humane, participants must donate through the organization’s Facebook fundraiser post, then comment on the post with a photo of their pet and the pet’s name.

Drawings will be created by volunteers and posted within approximately 24 hours.

The organization opined that most portraits will be “pretty mediocre,” though some volunteers may surprise donors with unexpected artistic talent.

Each photo should feature one or two pets at most, and donors are welcome to submit multiple entries. While the drawings are intentionally humorous, Pasadena Humane emphasized that every submission helps support animals in need.

All proceeds benefit Pasadena Humane’s shelter programs and services. The fundraiser is open to all, but the organization encourages Pasadena-area residents to take part in the community-driven effort.
