
A Pasadena police officer sustained a non-life-threatening injury Sunday evening after another officer unintentionally discharged a service weapon in the parking structure adjacent to the department’s headquarters, authorities said.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:18 p.m. on Sept. 7. According to city statements, the injured officer received immediate medical attention and is expected to recover.
A preliminary assessment indicated the firearm discharge was accidental. An internal investigation was launched immediately and remains ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident.
No additional details about the officers involved have been released.
