Police have to figure out why a 31-year-old woman would catch a taxi to Central Park in Pasadena, stab a man and then tried to leave the scene in that same taxi.
The stabbing victim, a 52-year-old Pasadena man, is expected to survive his injuries, the Pasadena Star-News reported.
His alleged attacker, Glendale resident Christine Hunt, was being held in jail in lieu of $1 million bail, pending her initial day in court, the newspaper reported. Hunt was booked on suspicion of attempted murder.
The police were notified of the attack in the 200 block of South Raymond Avenue about 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, the Star-News reported, where Hunt reportedly arrived the scene via taxi stabbed the 52-year-old man as he was sitting with some friends at a park table and tried to flee the scene in a taxi.
Police arriving at the scene pulled over the taxi and arrested Hunt without incident, the newspaper reported.
