Pasadena police detectives seized 23 pounds of methamphetamine, two firearms, and a large sum of cash during a search warrant execution Friday morning in Los Angeles, authorities said.

Plemon Caldron, 44, of Los Angeles, was arrested in Pasadena on multiple felony narcotics and firearms charges near Washington Boulevard and Maple Avenue after the search warrant operation, according to Pasadena Police Lt. Matt Campeau.

Detectives initially detained Caldron during a traffic stop before executing the search warrant.

Campeau said the suspect was allegedly found in possession of illegal narcotics during the stop, leading investigators to search his residence, where they reportedly discovered additional drugs, firearms, ammunition, and cash.

The investigation originated in Pasadena as part of an ongoing narcotics case.

Pasadena police conducted the operation without assistance from the Los Angeles Police Department or specialized units such as SWAT, Campeau said.

Authorities did not disclose the types of firearms recovered or the exact amount of cash seized. The case remains under investigation.
