Pasadena police arrested five suspects and seized multiple firearms in an early morning gang warrant operation on Thursday, October 10, authorities said.

The Pasadena Police Department’s Street Crime Unit served simultaneous search warrants at several locations across the San Gabriel Valley at 4 a.m., targeting a local criminal street gang that had increased its illicit activity in recent months. The operation was the result of a comprehensive criminal investigation, according to a Department statement.

Officers recovered five firearms, including a short-barreled semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity drum magazine, a revolver, and three semi-automatic handguns with high-capacity magazines (pictured).

Two male juveniles and three male adults were arrested and booked at the Pasadena Jail on various felony charges, including armed robbery, felony vandalism, and weapons violations.

Police identified the minors as a 16-year-old from Arcadia and a 17-year-old from Pasadena,

The arrested men were identified as Gabriel Campos, 22, of Los Angeles; Oscar Campos, 42, of Pasadena; and Derrick Orozco, 22, of San Gabriel.

Due to the violent history of the criminal street gang, the operation involved multiple specialized teams from the Pasadena Police Department and neighboring jurisdictions. These included the Department’s Special Investigations Section and Violent & Majors Crimes Sections, as well as SWAT units from Glendale, Burbank, Covina, and West Covina police departments.

The U.S. Marshal’s Pacific Southwest Region Fugitive Taskforce and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes unit also participated.

Pasadena’s Street Crime Unit, formed in May 2023 to combat street-level criminal activity, criminal street gangs, street-level narcotics, and crime that impairs the community’s quality of life, has recovered 86 firearms since its inception.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the case to contact Pasadena Police at (626) 744-4241 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted via the “P3 Tips” Mobile APP or the website http://lacrimestoppers.org.
