Pasadena will remain cooler than normal through Thursday as marine layer clouds and patchy fog keep daytime highs in the lower 80s, forecasters said Tuesday.
The National Weather Service reported that Tuesday’s high will reach near 82 degrees under cloudy skies that gradually clear by midday. Winds will remain light from the south at 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday is expected to bring similar conditions, with morning fog and slow clearing. Highs will reach about 81 degrees, with light south-southwest winds. Thursday will see more sunshine and slightly faster clearing, though temperatures will hold steady near 83 degrees.
Forecasters said Pasadena’s highs will remain 3 to 6 degrees below seasonal averages through midweek. A warming trend begins Friday, with highs climbing into the mid-80s and reaching the upper 80s by Saturday.
No measurable rain is forecast, though drizzle is possible near foothill areas during morning hours. Winds will stay light and variable, generally from the south and southwest at 5 to 10 mph, with calm conditions overnight.
By Saturday, Pasadena will see sunnier skies and warmer temperatures, with highs near 87 degrees. Sunday will cool slightly to 84 degrees, followed by 83 degrees on Monday, keeping conditions mild.
The persistent marine layer may slow morning commutes with foggy conditions, while cooler temperatures will ease energy demand across the city. No advisories or warnings are currently in effect.
Looking ahead to early next week, forecasters expect continued mild conditions with highs in the lower 80s and morning clouds returning under a weak upper low.
Pasadena residents can expect cooler mornings and gradual warming by the weekend, setting up pleasant conditions for outdoor plans.
