Pasadena Teen Robbed at Gunpoint and Knifepoint of Hoodie, Bracelet

A 14-year-old Pasadena boy was robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint by two masked teenagers who stole his hoodie and gold bracelet Thursday afternoon, police said.

The robbery occurred at approximately 3:52 p.m. near Marengo Avenue and Douglas Street, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Monica Cuellar.

The victim was walking south on Marengo Avenue when he was confronted by two suspects who demanded his hoodie, Lt. Cuellar said.

The first suspect, described as a 16-year-old Hispanic man standing 5’10” and weighing approximately 115 pounds, displayed a handgun while making the demand.

As the victim began removing his hoodie out of fear for his safety, the second suspect also demanded the garment while showing a knife, Lt. Cuellar reported.

During the confrontation, the first suspect removed a gold bracelet from the victim.

The victim complied with all demands, and both suspects fled the area before officers arrived, according to Cuellar. The second suspect was described as a 17-year-old Hispanic man, approximately 5’6″ and 145 pounds.

Both suspects wore black ski masks, with the first suspect dressed in a gray hoodie, light-colored blue jeans, and gray sneakers, while the second suspect wore a black hoodie, black puffy vest, and dark sneakers, Cuellar said.

The victim was uninjured during the incident. Despite officers’ response to the scene, but the suspects were not located,  Cuellar said.
