
Pasadena residents can expect a gradual warm-up heading into next week, with valley temperatures climbing into the 90s by midweek, forecasters said Thursday.
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard reported that onshore flow will continue to bring morning low clouds and fog through the weekend, followed by afternoon clearing. Temperatures will rise steadily, reaching near-normal levels by early next week.
Thursday’s high is forecast near 79 degrees, with patchy fog before 11:00 a.m. and light south-southwest winds at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight will see increasing clouds and a low around 56 degrees.
Friday will bring similar conditions, with morning fog and gradual clearing. The high is expected near 83 degrees, with light winds. Independence Day on Saturday will be partly sunny with a high near 85 degrees.
Forecasters said valley highs will increase from near 80 degrees Thursday to the mid-80s Saturday, then rise into the upper 80s and low 90s Tuesday and Wednesday. No precipitation is forecast. Marine layer clouds will dominate mornings, but afternoons will be clear. Winds in Pasadena will remain light.
Sunday will bring mostly sunny skies with a high near 84 degrees. Monday will be mostly sunny with a high near 85 degrees. By Tuesday, highs will reach 88 degrees, followed by 89 degrees Wednesday under sunny skies.
Forecasters said the warming trend will continue into late next week as an upper high strengthens over Southern California, potentially bringing above-normal temperatures.
